These are just a few of Armenian photographer Suren Manvelyan‘s human iris images. When looking at the first few, I was amazed at how beautiful the landscape of the iris is and just how it varies in each individual. Then they sort of became a bit spooky and ‘other worldly’. Photographer Daniel Alexander Hirst produced this poster for the Cheltenham Science Festival. The brief was “Create an A1 poster for the Cheltenham Science Festival based on the subject of Taboo. You may pick any subject which may spark debate.” The poster “Heart Burn” tackled the subject of smoking and the causes it has on your heart.

Arriving at the hub of freelance creative director Miss Cakehead’s headquarters on an average Thursday evening in August, it soon became apparent that this was no ordinary gathering of creative minds. I had been invited to witness the photoshoot for the PR campaign surrounding the Resident Evil 6 video game release on 6th October 2012.
